It’s the weekend, or should i say today's a public holiday! The first thing that popped up on my must-eat list when it comes to weekend is BANHMI. Was thinking of giving this place a go since last year but due to the terrible traffic congestion in Damansara Uptown which frightens my mum, so I kinda had a rough time convincing her to bring me here. As it turned out, it works! Perhaps I don't really suck at convincing people after all. LOLOL anyway back to the topic.
The foods and beverages menu have been written nicely & clearly on the big board on the wall. Beverages are quite limited but who cares? LOL. They offer varieties of Vietnamese baguette. My mum and I both didn't know what a to order at first but the friendly waiter was more than happy to explain. In fact, she also talked about the ingredients inside while we both just smiled and nod.
This baguette was fresh , simple and it tasted delicious and was enough to fill my tummy. It turned out to be a rather satisfying meal for me and my mum. It was generously portioned too. Me and my mum weren't that hungry at that moment so we only order one Bahn Mi(O Sunny) and 3 spring rolls (O Summery) [Tips on how to eat O Summery: Dip it with the sauce provided!!! Thumbs up for their sauce!!]
This is how it looks like. Vietnamese baguette stuffed with ham, pickled radish & carrots, with a generous layer of pate, mayo and chili sauce spread across the bread.
Overall, the concept is simple and nice. Definitely a good hang out spot, to grab a Banh Mi and catch up with a friend for some good time chit chatting.
Obanhmi opens from 8am-8.30pm on Tuesday to Friday and 10am-9pm on Saturday&Sunday and close on Mondays.
Find them at:

Hola peeps! Today I am going to share with you guys some snacks I bought from Taiwan. But first, I'll need to apologize because I've given some snacks away and I didnt have a picture of it too :(
Taiwan Snacks (xiao chi but obviously this ain't xiao chi i think :p) Taiwanese are great snackers. In Taiwan, you will find hundreds of different snack foods. So these are some local goodies I've bring back from Taiwan. I tend to snack alot, sometimes uncontrollably. Snack, to me, is also known as junk food and my mum kinda forbid me from snacking too much because according to her it doesn't contribute much nutrients to our body(which is true) but i don't seem to put that in mind loll. I find it portable, and rather satisfying because it stave off my hunger & cravings.
Okay dont get me wrong alright? Its obviously hmmmm not a condom & pad. A few of my friends we're fooled by me and they even questioned me. But hey, if you have the same thoughts as them, no pressure, really. HAHAH. Oh boy the joy of pranking people. hahah
Okay so this is how it looks like inside. You're probably smart enough to find out it's actually chocolate inside. Pretty unique huh? It's very rare to see shops selling such chocolates. LMAO
Anyone craves for some marshmallow? Yep. Again, dont be fooled by the packaging. In each packet, it consist of 4 mini marshmallows. I havent gave it a try yet so I don't really know what does it tasted like. But I think they often contain substantial amounts of sweeteners, preservatives, and specially designed flavours such as strawberry or chocolate etc.

Hello people. So i'm kind of bored right now and as i was browsing through my gallery i saw a few pictures that i have not blog about yet.
Food is a very essential necessity in life. If you're a breakfast person, I suggest you migrate to Taiwan immediately! *just kidding* Breakfast usually comes in the form of street food in Taiwan. The breakfast food in Taiwan is pretty much the same everythere: soy milk, turnip cakes, gua bao, shao bing & you tiao. Taiwan is a veritable paradise for food lovers. From spacious shopping malls to narrow alleyways, fabulous food and tasty treats everywhere. Dont ever go Taiwan if you're on diet. Its somehow different compared to what i usually have for breakfast here. So i kind of opt for something light in the morning.
烧饼, something like pastry but its a soft bread baked fresh from the oven, filled with 菜圃. This is a common breakfast food in Taiwan
I realized that Taiwanese enjoy eating out in night markets and restaurants for dinner. In Taiwan, you can find a lot of cafes or convenient restaurants(self-service restaurants) or BIG GRAND RESTAURANTS. Cheap food in Taiwan can be found everywhere, at any time of the day.
What I had for dinner on the second day of my Taiwan Trip
Fried Yam Roll, simply mouthwatering!
My fried chicken at the front complemented with 卤肉 sauce.
Dry pan mee noodles which comes together with my fried chicken. It was not bad. 6/10 for this.
So now its time to talk about Flight Meal. These meals are prepared by airline catering services. They range from simple meals for economy class to 4-5 course gourmet for Business and First class. I'm always looking forward to enjoy airline meals whenever im travelling around and i've no idea why. Perhaps I do have a thing with food. HAHAH
These meals aren’t what you get in Business/First class. Chicken Ketchup Rice with Vegetables, Fruits, Turkey Salad, Bread and Bak Zhang.
Fettucine with Grilled Fish & Peppers, Fruits, Salmon salad, Orange cake, Bread. This was remotely decent. I pretty much enjoy it.
Alright that's all for today. Happy reading! xo

Taiwan Trip
Hello earthlings! As you see, this is my third time in Taiwan. Back then i was too young and i could not retrieve any memories. At the age of 6-10 i'm still very innocent and i can't recall anything about taiwan at all. Fortunately, i'm still in contact with my Taiwan friend, Kelly and her brother who was always tagging along. We met at the tender age of 6-7?(if im not mistaken) but she's 7 years older than me lol. Our parents are close friend so i dont see any problem for me to travel there with my cousin. Right now, I'm back from my 6-days-backpack-travelling-trip with my cousin, Darwin. I've never seen him so eager to be on plane before as this is his first time travelling to overseas. So where do i begin my trip at?
This sort of sums up my trip. Dont worry, I'll definitely upload more pictures to entertain ya'll!
There's too much to talk about so i'm just gonna upload some photos. Sorry I couldn't upload everything cuz most of the pictures taken are in my phone and the pictures you're about to see below is in my cousin's camera.
By the time we reached Taiwan, its already 10.30+ pm. The flight suppose to land at 8.10pm but due to some delays and bad weather condition, we landed at 10pm++ 游阿姨 and her son welcomed us whole heartily. I havent seen his son for 6 years and now he's all grown up into an adult. I rmb the last time i met 游阿姨 was few months back. She was in malaysia for some business thingy.
After claiming our luggage and all, she brought us to supper! This place is called 快炒 and i've got to admit the service is super duper fast! Its like we've just order for about 5 mins and the dish is already served lol. How i wish the service was this quick in malaysia too.
Day 2, Taipei City
The next day, Kelly and her brother went to work. It doesn't surprised me that both of them work for their mum. So 游阿姨 brought us for breakfast. This is 刮包. It's something like steamed mantou with pork meats and crushed peanuts filling. I also had Hot Soy Milk together with this and it was satisfying. Let me highlight something, in Taiwan, Soy Milk is really popular. You can get them anywhere, especially in the morning. Its sort of like included in their breakfast.
Did i mentioned that they live in 桃园? Which is 30 mins driving distance away from both Taipei City and the Airport. So after we get everything planned and settled, we head to our first destination, Taipei 101. So our lunch incudes 卤肉饭,米粉,水饺,Ou Ah Chian, fried bean curd skin, fried smelly tofu & i dont rmb lol.
Day 3, 九份.
It was pouring cats and dogs. The rain pelted my skin and I could hardly see way in front of me so we quickened our pace to reach the idk-what-you-call-that-street lol.
Fish balls or should i say colourful fish balls? This small dish is very popular in 九份, Taiwan. Brace yourself to wait under the pouring rain as the number of diners greatly outnumbered the number of seats available.
I believe everyone know that this is called mochi? It has different kinds of flavours available and you get to pick the one you desire! I personally like red bean a lot. I want to eat less red bean, but my insides turn to jelly whenever i see an red bean mochi or anything with red bean. Sigh, i might as well just give up lol.
Okay, so i was passing by the edge of the street where you will need to make either a left/right turn and i saw this. The queue was damn long. I REPEAT, SO DAMN FREAKING LONG and since we aren't rushing so we decided to queue up. After approximately 10-15 minutes of waiting, its finally our turn! This is Grilled Wild Mushroom and is suitable for vegetarian. After the first morsel, i already think its awesome! I even finish licking the last gravy off cuz its was too good.
Ermmmmm, i would never seem to understand whats all the hype about. There were a bunch of crazy peoples crazily eating this erm snail? Maybe im quite the picky person so i kinda pick what to eat and what to not eat at times. lol.
Me & 游阿姨. She's my mom's best friend. I am very grateful that despite how busy her schedule is, she still manages to spare her time to bring us around.
What you're about to see now is the hand-making of Yam Soft Cake and Sweet Potato Soft Cake.
We were having a hard time locating this place. But luckily the food isn't disappointing.
The 4th day, 宜兰
宜兰 is well known for their 葱油饼 & 肉羹面 & 肉卷 & 牛乳饼 & 凤梨饼 & so on. Besides, majority of you people say 九份 serves the best 卤肉饭. I'm terribly sorry to say, no its not. 宜兰 basically serves the best 卤肉饭! Their 卤肉饭 is just mouthgasm! I could even smell the aroma across the streets sometimes.
The Great 葱油饼. Thumbs up for this! A must-try!
Me and Kelly!
铁路便当 was scrumptious. Kelly highly recommended this and if you're a big eater im absolutely sure you will love it because the portion size for a person there is equivalent to the portion size for two person in malaysia lol.
Before we knew it, the last day has came
From upper left to lower right
卤肉饭, 肉羹汤, 肉羹面, 肉卷. This is our breakfast of that particular day. After we wolfed down our breakfast, we headed to our final destination in Taiwan, which is 西门町!It had been quite an adventurous day, with us strolling around that area.
Me and Darwin in 西门町.
Since its the last day, we decided to chill in a cafe. Kelly brought us to one cafe that stands out the most in Taiwan, Dazzling Cafe. The cafe was cosy, giving the place a really relaxing ambiance.
After skimming through the menu, Dazzling Cafe has quite a wide range of chocolate selection, and we had trouble picking what we wanted because all of them seems so appetizing! Too bad I was pretty excited at that moment and forgotten to take pictures of the menu. Anyway, i kinda think its a bad habit to take pictures of every meal you eat lol. Dont be like me, im embarrassing.
I guess this is the dish that caught every customer's attention. The amount of cocoa powder was really generous.
and this too. Dazzing Cafe's Signature dish. It literally fills with butter bread and cream cheese inside! I enjoyed this dish alot.
Our dinner that day consist of different kinds of 水饺. One bite and im hooked! IT WAS DELICIOUS!
It somehow saddens me and darwin a little as we were going to leave Taiwan. Within this 6 days, we(4 of us) spent time together with each other like brothers and sisters. I could feel the strong bonds developing between us. They were genuinely sweet and caring. Gonna definitely miss them a lot.
okay. i guess thats all for today. more pictures to be uploaded soon!

Not quite sure how to start but today was indeed a great day. I am labeled as as the "on the go" person around my circles of family members and fellow friends, so it wouldn't be surprising if i spent my entire day outside loll. Assessment 1 will be starting from tomorrow onwards and i SHOULD be studying right now, the key word is SHOULD. Sometimes i wonder, if i had join too much physical activities outside rather than being holed up in the house whole day cuz i am really an outgoing person. Like lets say even you asked me out last minute i can still make it loll. But as for tonight, guess i'll be burning my midnight oil studying then. Gonna use my time productively! Frankly speaking, i've actually done my revision ermm last week and this morning lolll. okay pretend that i didnt even say that its stupid, i know loll (sry i couldn't help it i have a thing with "lol" word) There are numerous reasons to why i like using LOL probably bec by saying lol even without a smiley face at the back brings out your own attitude (in my own opinion) like you wont sound too rude nor over-friendly. yeah that's the summarized reason lol (not to say im not friendly too btw because i am :p)
I wanted to share this to my blog but sometimes i find it too personal so i keep it to myself but im not a 'diary-writer' person so blog is basically my online diary. Time flies and within this short span of time i must say it has been an enlightening and enjoyable moment in my entire life. I meet new peoples from different walks of life, try assorted foods, enjoy diverse sights. My life has tremendously changed since then. Personally, i think we should mingle with different people. Cuz meeting people gives us the exposure needed to build up our social skills. But beware, you do not want to make fake and bad-influenced friends. It did not take too long for me to break the ice with a stranger( obviously not every strangers lol it depends on which strangers, must be approximately around my age :ppppp) I know meeting new and different people is a trying and terrifying thing and people around me always laugh alot and joke alot with me but deep down, way, way deep down, deeper than the grand freaking canyon i know we all feel depressed inside. I dare to admit myself, i am depressed. Sometimes i wish the world would open up and swallow me. I'm truly lucky to have friends like them in life, without them i don't think i can smile and tell myself everyday is a brand new day, forget about the past, life goes on. Friends are always by our side through thick and thin.
Okayyy, frankly speaking, i wonder if anybody reads my blog. HAHAHAH this is stupid. But meehhhh, i dont care. i am that cold-blooded but i always find things funny where it should no where in hell be. This gives me the creep loll. Alright, English and Maths for tomorrow! wish me luck, i needed them! HAHAHA. I can feel butterflies in my stomach gosssshhhhhh. Anyway, im currently attached to this korean movie call The Heirs. This movie leaves me with no words to describe! It's amaaaaazing. I am amazed at how addicting korean movies are. Anyway, time for some dramaaaaa! wooooo! Happy Reading Readers (if there is one) hahaha may you enjoy your day ltr on. Here's some picture of the recent me :D
buhhhhbye! <3

this is SUPER SUPER crazy. After who knows how many months im gone, im finally back. Okay, i've been through a lot within this (Jan-Sept) few months. Lets not talk about it since im really lazy. So here's a few pictures of the recent me?
Yes, if you all are following me in instagram (Summerbyfall just changed it few hours ago. My previous username was Speakingoflovee) i came back from my long vacation in Italy and UK. One word, amazing! UK gave me a comfortable feeling as it makes me wanna stay longer, same as the previous year i went there. Italy was in fact, simply breathtaking. But to me, i'd prefer to stay in a place like UK. One of the reason why is bc i love shopping and trust me, you dont know how crazy i am when im shopping. I almost turn my parents bankrupt due to the amount of clothes i've purchased. HAHAHAH so anyway, as for studies, i see a mark of improvement which is good. Im happy for myself, after suffering for months i finally made it. FYI I was given two prizes 1, Top scorer for English 2, Top scorer for Maths. Im indeed proud of myself. Okay, gtg run! Have something else to do.
